Before Starting
Ensure you know your Microsoft
account login credentials. If you do not, please let me know and do not
attempt to perform these steps.
If Microsoft Authenticator is not installed on your iPhone,
please contact IT so I can ensure that your account is ready to create a
passkey using these instructions.
Instructions – Quick List

· Launch the Microsoft Authenticator App on your
iPhone
· Select your account from the list
· Tap on Create a Passkey
· Continue with Sign-In request. You may be
presented with multi-factor authentication such as SMS Code or Authenticator
Codes.
· Once complete, you should see the message that
the passkey has been created.
· Tap on "How to use your passkey" to
see the following instructions.
Ensure Your Device is
Registered
The following steps should be taken
on all Lauth mobile devices including iPads.
· From the authenticator app start page, tap the
menu button in the upper right corner.
· Tap on "Settings"
· Tap on Device Registration
· If you do not see that your device is registered
to either Lauth Group or Lauth Communities or Integrated Facilities, tap
"Register Device"
· Sign in to your device when prompted.
· Enter your password when prompted.
· You may receive MFA authentication requests
during this process.
· You should now see your device registration
information.
· You can close the Authenticator App.
If, after making the changes, you find that your
iPhone email stops synchronizing, or if you are prompted to re-enter your
password for your exchange account, you can re-enter your password on your
iPhone at Settings -> Apps -> Mail -> Accounts -> Exchange.

that are running MS Authenticator and intent to connect to Lauth M365 Services.
In most cases, you will find that your device is already
registered.
